App Spree Results - UPDATED!

So, DH & I decided to app spree today since we decided to wait on apping for a mortgage until 2014. Here are the results:

Me: Income of ~50K - 8 months on current job - last FICO pull was in January for TU 680.

CitiForward - Denied - Reconned and rep said it was because of delinquent accounts on EX

Chase - United Mileage Plus Explorer - 14 day message received. Called and expeditied with credit analyst and I just needed to verify my Identity. APPROVED - $5K

(I received an invitation to apply in the mail last month since I fly with them often, which is why i apped. )

AMEX - Green. APPROVED -- finally in with AMEX family

Discover IT - APPROVED with 0% interest or w/e that offer is. - No idea what CL is.

NFCU - PC to Visa Siggy from my nRewards

DH:

Income of ~18K. 8 months on current job. Last FICO pull was in January for TU 660

Amazon Store - Approved for $800 CL -- CALLED FOR A CLI And the Automated line denied him since his account is not "Eligible"

Walmart - Approved for $600 CL -- YAY free FICO!! Called for a CLI and the rep said that his info is "not yet in the system" but he should call back in 72 hours

Discover IT - Denied for 0% Int but offered diff terms - 3.99% APR instead and he accepted, of course Called to find out his CL and his info "is not yet in the system"

AMEX - Gold - DENIED & reconned but still denied due to 625 EXP score & delinquencies --> I advised him against it but oh well! ;-)

Musician's Friend - DENIED - reasons given -- too many inq, delinquent accounts, short credit history

Barclay's Apple - DENIED. Reconned and rep said that his credit history was too short. Try again in few months.

DH is a bit upset because he feels like he is getting shafted. But hes got to realize that this is just a big game of "who talks to who at the right time" - which he would understand if he was living in the forums like me!

Our current profiles:

Me:

BADDIES-

Bank of America CC w/ multiple severe late payments from 2008-2010. Closed account 0$ balance. On all three CRs

GECRB/ Old Navy - Closed but was turned over to collections (Midland) for $300 in 2009.

GECRB/ Care Credit - Settled for less for acct that went delinquent in 2010.

GOOD TLs-

21 good accounts w/ perfect histories from 2006 to recent apps. Most of the lines are SLs that have been bounced from one lender to the next, but they are essentially the same accounts lol . The only ones that aren't SLs are:

Comenity Bank (opened 5/2012) - never late $800 CL

Comenity bank (opened 12/2012)- never late $500 CL

West lake financial auto loan (opened 12/ 2007) - paid/ closed

Tidewater motor credit auto loan (opened 4/2011) - never late

NFCU nRewards (opened 12/2011) -- never late $6K

And the rest SL's w/ a total of 17K.

Now call the ge backdoor numbers tonight at late hours and ask for CLI's, you will most likely get it.

Congrats! What was the limit on your Discover? There have been many posts about high credit lines from them lately.

That's a pretty good spree. Congrats on the approvals, time to hit the garden and let the current accounts grow and age while working on the baddies.

Congrats, Just curious what bank does musicians friend use, or do they issue thier own credit cards? I gues your DH is a Musician

Thanks everyone! Yes we are pretty happy with the results!!! Especially considering that we thought we wouldnt be able to have CC for at least another year. Time to garden garden garden!!

And yes, DH is a musician. We thought that maybe because he has cap1 already that they might be open to extending him a CL, but I guess not! Oh well, we are happy with what we've got!

Im just thrilled to be part of the AMEX family. Think I'll try for a Beautiful Blue card next year

Just chatted with a discover professional online. CL of $4500 - Im certainly happy with that. We'll see how things go from here!! Does anyone have any idea about how often discover does CLIs? Im not getting ahead of myself or anything, just checking for the future ;-)

I got my auto cli on Discover the day after 4th statement cut and my walmart was the same. Congrats
