Submitted a Best Buy / Cap One app and rather than the instant approval confirmation page, I got the "please call us" status..... I'm scared to call in.. I hate rejection and I hate to even admit that too..

call in, I am sure they just want to clarify some points.

Worst that can happen is they say no.

yea i got that same message a few years back i called and they approved me for a plan b card with a limit of 1940

Call them...if you're at a 703, you should be approved.

They're probably just confused about why a person with a FICO over 700 would be applying for a crappy subprime card!

Seriously, barring something strange, there's no way you're getting rejected for this card.

I applied for them about two years ago and was declined but had an AMEX and applied for a BofA Cash Rewards and was approved. Now I have a CSP. Weird.

Dude. Really?

If they're going to say no, they'd have said no. Asking you to call them is about verification...probably of your identity.

If you DONT call them, they'll assume it wasn't you applying and will deny the application.

They're probably going to ask you 4 questions.

Have you ever had a mortgage and what was the amount?

Which of these cities have you lived in?

Do you like almonds or peanuts?

Basic questions to test your identity. If you pass, you'll come back with a nice fat approval (maybe, probably, who knows)
