A CC company asked or proof of address (chase to be exact) is a cell phone bill a legit proof of address or no?

They usually want a drivers license, utility bill - because it lst the service address - you could also try car registration and/or insurance.

A lot of people don't even have landlines anymore so they may be ok with a cell bill - years ago the answer was no.

The bad thing is all bills are in my girlfriends name and wat bills i do have there all PAPERLESS. Its 2013 ppl dont receive bills anymore. Lol

Even if it's paperless, I don't see why they wouldn't accept a statement that you printed out.

Well they SAY they cant accept CC bills for proof of address. That's wat i have for paperless bills

My DD doesn't have utilities in her name either - still lives at home- that's why I suggested the DL, car registration etc. I do not receive paper bills either but I can still view statements online and print your statement which has the address.

Is your cell bill paperless? What about any medical bills, insurance? Does your license not show your current address?

Do you rent? Is your name on the lease? I think that would be sufficient proof.

Yea name is on lease. I just moved here so all my stuff shows my previous address i am gonna try the lease or just go update my address asap to get sumthing for proof

I think you could also ask Chase if you can go into the branch and show a banker your lease, that way they could see that your the actually person on your ID as well, that is if you have a Chase branch near you, but I would first talk to Chase on the phone and ask if they do that

Did you file change of address with the Post office? If you did, do you have a copy of the confirmation letter? I was able to use that with my credit union to prove my address after a recent move/credit application. You can do the coa online (costs you 1.00) but then you have an email confirmation that you can save for situations such as this.
