For what it's worth, Lexington Law helped me with my credit issues about 6 years ago. However, I don't endorse them nor would I say their company is a one size fits all fix to whatever ails your credit. If you have old accounts with negative information and you know the information is inaccurate, by all means try disputing it first with the credit agency first. All it takes is persistence. What helped me was I knew I had 5 negative items on my reports that were really old and they stayed on top of it for me month in and month out and got them all removed. My scores went from mid-500's to high 600's in about 6 to 8 months.

just be warned you'll be wasting your money, it's much better to take your bet on a 8 year old with the internet imo. people accidently recieved letters they were supposed to send to the creditors. The letters go along the lines of "HOW DARE YOU SUBMIT DERROGATORY ITEMS ABOUT MY CLIENT, REMOVE IT OR FACE THE CONSENQUENCES!"

they really don't know what they're doing. just send a debt validation certified mail return receipt. It was personally a $600 mistake and they didn't remove 1 single thing. After i sent 1 DV I had half my stuff fall off. They do more harm than good. Because of their ridiculous letters they repeatedly send out they can mark disputes as frivilous and never look into legitimate reasons.

ask about it at creditboards they'll all tell you the same. Creditboards is who helped me get from 400's to 760's

Forgot to mention the items will be in dispute if you use lexington for a while, if you app during those times many lenders ignore your app because it artificially inflates your fico score. (does not factor in disputed accounts) so if you had 3 bad items and disputed those 3 items you'll have a the scores you would have if those items didn't exist. pre-2006-2007 this was a trick mortgage lenders used too much and exploited.

Wow, thanks for sharing. The only reason I considerd them is my baddies left are paid charge offs from Cap One & HSBC. I have read that GW are almost impossible with them. I also have a paid jusgement & all of this is from 2010, so it's not falling off anytime soon. Good to know that they don't always help.

Hi, forgot to ask, do you also have any suggestion on how to get them to remove 2 medical collections that were paid in full but they refuse to remove? Thanks.. I had no idea about debt validation letters until you outlined it here.. That's awesome..

I used them 2 yrs ago for about 6 months and they were successful in removing pif collections. It takes time, and IMO can be done on your own. If its something you'd rather pay someone to do that is your choice.

Again it all depends upon you understanding exactly what you are paying for. They are not some magically credit repair wizard.
