trying to see if ill be approved for AMEX gold

Currently have a score of 715 on my experian...$0 balance through out my cards... have 7 inquiries in the past 2 yrs. an authorized user on a 10k cc limit. no other open cards. was wondering if you guys think i would be approved for an AMEX card before doing an application, dont want to ruin another inquiry.

It is a maybe. Do you have any negatives on your credit? You should really establish your credit file with a card or two before shooting for the big dawgs. They like to see responsible use of credit -- not so much non-use.

PS. How can you have a 0 balance throughout your cards, and also not have any cards?

no negative stuff. according to my report, only bad things are more than 5 inquires and length of accounts are short

sorry what i meant was have paid off all my closed accounts, non of them have a balance.

ok pretty much the only thing that i have active on my report right now with a balance is my school loan, and another CC which im an authorized user of . everything else is closed with a $0 balance

Its just my opinion but due to no revolving lines I don't think so

OP, are the accounts at zero reporting closed by consumer, or closed by guarantor? If they're baddies settled for less, and/or showing lates too, Amex will most likely pass.

Further info/description of your report is needed to give you a more accurate estimate.

If you have your own positive revolving tradeline history, then ya, I would go for it. Seems like you have a really good change... how long is your total combined credit history?
