I was checking my bank account earlier and noticed I had a 99$ deposit that posted. I knew instantly what it had to be. But my BOA Secured card was only 9 months old so when I looked at the account info for my card, the limit was now showing $2000!

So they unsecured my $500 secured card and gave me an auto 4x increase to $2000. I'm so freaking excited I can't stand it. I wasn't expecting any unsecuring action for another 3 months. Plus they did all that without me initiating it. So I'm assuming it was all done with a soft pull. If they do all this auto, shouldn't it be a soft pull?

Well I was just approved for Discover It with a $7000 credit line. I've already received the card a couple of days ago, but it's not reporting yet. So the BOA at $500 was actually my highest limit as far as they could see. But I pushed about $800 a month through it, making payment at least 3 times a month. And of course always paying in full each month as soon as the statement cut. I never let a statement cut with more than 10% util on it.

Plus I think they pull TU for increases, and it's gone up a lot over the last few months, currently at 711.

I had originally apped for the Visa Sig card and was denied, but they countered the 99/500 card and I took it. But when it came in the mail it was a Cash Rewards 123 card, although secured, but I wasn't complaining. I've redeemed probably around $100 in rewards in the last 9 months, love it!

Yep it's a nice compliment to the Discover It and Freedom, pretty much have the rewards covered with those 3. Of course others may choose other rewards cards, just all depends on what kind of shopping you do most I suppose.

So I received 2 HP for that one card But if you're just starting to rebuild your credit, then the HP don't matter quite as much. The new TL can actually have a positive effect on your score once reported. So everything bounces back. Depending on how many accounts you currently have reporting.
