Can someone explain how the Paypal debit card works? If you get one can you use your Paypal credit line anywhere that debit cards are accepted? kinda confusing...

Do you have paypal smart connect? basicly you should be able to use it anywhere master card is accepted

yes I do. I only use it online as I thought that was the only place I could use Paypal. But, I saw it has a debit card available and was wondering if it could then be used like a debit/credit card?

yes, if you have the debit card and paypal smart connect on the same account, when you use your card it comes out of of the smart connect credit line

I have Paypal Debit Card, and I do not have SmartConnect. My card is tied to my checking account. Yes, you can use it anywhere. If you have funds in your Paypal account it will draw on that first, then whatever you have your Paypal account connected to, credit card, checking acct, smart connect.

I mostly use it for online purchases where I don't want to use my bank debit or credit card. I don't sell much on ebay anymore, but it's a faster way to access your cash from ebay sales rather than transferring it to your bank account which takes awhile.

The paypal master card uses the money you have in your paypal acc, but you can also link it to your checking account. And if you have the smart connect. You can also link it to it. The paypall dc earns me 1.5% cash back. I use for all my shopping, groceries gas as i dont have any other rewards card.

Thanks...I'm going to order one. My Paypal account has a $10,000 limit, and I haven't used it much, so this will help to fix that.

Had it since 11-2011. Started with 500.00, than increased after 6 months to 1800.00. In Dec 2012, called in and requested 5000.00. Today I called in and requested $10,000 and approved! GE is so great with CLI's. I have had all my ge accounts increased in the last week by calling 877-379-8173.

I used the search function, and found this helpful thread. I use my Paypal balance for several purchases, however would like to add a Paypal debit card for

more versatility. Would there be a hard credit inquiry for this? I am in the midst of a refi, and don't want to upset the cart.

I dont think they do a HP for issueing a Debit Card.

They However do a HP if you try to app for the PayPal Smartconnect credit

In the past, when Chase was the plastics issuer of the PayPal debit card (managed/overseen by PayPal services), a SP would be done. Never a HP. Someone else can chime in as to whether even any SP is done today to obtain the debit card as an extension of your PPSC or if linked to your other back up funding sources.

They ask you to verify your paypal account before issuing a Debit Card amd you have to put your full SSN
