Well, I emailed them and got a call a day later. The woman I spoke with claimed she would work on raising the toy limit of the card(300, I requested 3k) and also adding cash back rewards to it. We'll see. Btw I have a cap one platinum mastercard, which has been in sock drawer since acquiring better(prime) cards.

She will help you I'm sure. May or may not get the 3k, but you should get a CLI, rewards, and possibly no AF. Many have here have had great success with the EO.

I did the online chat and was denied and then emailed Capital One yesterday at 11am, got a call by 2pm and just got a return call saying my credit limit had been increased!!

I have a credit steps card that was initially $250 and went to $500 (got the card back in Oct 11). I always charge $500 a month and pay the balance in full each month. I asked for a cli to $1500 and that is what I received. :-) Very happy!!

Same here, except mine happened same day, yesterday. Went from 500 to 1500.

The executive office folks are very nice and very polite. They are not the analysts but my lady was very patient and I could hear her typing as I said what I had to say so i think she actually included my information with the submission to the analyst.

When my wife did it, it took them 4 days to get back to her, when I did it, it all happened in a span of two hours.

So I just logged on and my credit line has gone from 300 to 2k. Damn lol. Also I see a tab under platinum mastercard that says Rewards: $0.00 Cash. Does that mean I now earn cash back on this card ???

The executive office staff are awesome...

Have been with them for 13 yrs and my 2 cards were stuck at 300.00 and 500.00 since day one.. Have never made a late payment, ever.. I requested CLIs several times and every single time I was denied.. They said they did not accept credit line increase requests.. So I told them that I wanted to apply for a new card and they said, nope, sorry, you can only have 2 capital one products of the same kind at a time.. I was stuck.. I've even had a 30k brokerage account with them for 7 years, still that didn't matter.....

So I emailed the executive office and told them I was pulling out my brokerage account money and closing my checking account.. Within hours they bumped me up to 2,500.00 on each card.. The lady who handles the executive escalation calls is awesome.. She's super nice and professional..

Thank you, I do have the email address, but was just curious if there's a 'format/sample' letter (the one being emailed out to the Exec Off) that I could look at and make my own modifications regarding my credit cards with them, in order to receive the wonderful outcomes I'm so far reading about. Thanks!

Here is my letter, but it really needs to tailor to your personal situation. If you just copy and paste I guarantee it will be rejected.

I had a platinum "credit steps" rebuilder at 3,500 and they made it a Green Cash Rewards with a 10k limit. I have good income, scores in the low 700's, and had one other card with a 10k limit.

I am writing to request assistance with my Capital One credit card account. Last month I contacted a chat representative via your website to request a credit limit increase via a soft inquiry. I ended up on a convoluted path in which I spoke with several different phone representatives and chat representatives that each gave me a different reason why that could not be done. I tried to get them to escalate me to a credit analyst but was unsuccessful. One of the reps that I spoke with told me that my particular type of card has a hard limit of 3,000 and was a bit flummoxed when I pointed out that was less than my existing limit.

I eventually reached out to your social team. That team member explained that if the computer said no, there was nothing that anyone could do. Your customer service team has been polite and helpful at every turn, but I just couldn't seem to connect with anyone that had the autonomy to make a decision.

I have good credit, annual income almost fifty times my credit limit, and always pay my credit cards off in full and on time. I have a need for a higher credit limit in order to rotate reimbursable business expenses through my card, and would prefer to do that with a Capital One rewards card. I am interested in either raising the limit on my existing Capital One Platinum card, or converting it to another product without a hard limit such as a Cash Rewards Signature Visa. I am fine with either a revolver, or a charge card, as I tend to pay in full each month. My key features are cash back rewards, no annual fee, and high limit.

I appreciate the fact that your company is a conservative lender. I have had nothing but good experiences with you as a banking customer, and as a borrower. In fact, Capital One even financed my wedding back in 2008. I would like to continue our relationship in such a way as it benefits us both.

I would sincerely appreciate it if you could put me in touch with the right person to help me with this problem.
