Experience with a Second 3xcli from Amex?

As many posters here have, I received a 3xcli from 3500 to 10,500 on the 61st day of having my Amex BCE.

Otoh, I've not seen many recorded experiences with a second 3xcli at the six month mark. I'm three months in after my first 3xcli and would like to know approval/denial experiences concerning a second 3xcli after 6 months?

Who has been approved? Who has been denied? If denied, why? I know Amex can be...picky to say the least.
I'm anxious to get my BCE up to around that $25,000 mark. Per my siggy, I have several five digit limit cards- all of which have extremely low usage...in fact, Amex is the only five digit limit that I've used a lot. I've run about $5-6k through it since I opened it in Oct 2012, making an average of $500-1,000 payments...pif about half the time, however; why pif when Ive got 0% for 12 months? Lol

Thanks in advance! Love this forum!:-)

Does anyone have experience with higher starting credit limits? One of my AMEX had a starting limit of 17,100. That was opened in August. Would I potentially be able to ask for a credit limit increase to 51,300? I don't need that amount of credit but Im just curious. If I got a 3x credit increase, my average utilization would drop to less than 1%.

1,000 to 3,000 at about four months then 9,000 at six months on my BCE. When the BCE was at 3,000, my HH came with a 10,000 CL. At six months on the HH I asked for and was given 25,000. In less than two years I have gone from one card at a 1,000 credit line to two with total CL of 34,000.

When you apply make sure your utilization has reported low for the past 30 days, Amex will base the dicision on the most recent SP.

Awesome @ohiocpa!! Thanks for that! I keep my util less than 15%- Im going to really try to get it to 9%-might have to cut back on my expensive going out/shopping/eating/traveling/winebar habits haha! Who needs to spend $100 on dinner anyway?? Lol

That's amazing that you got a $10k HH card!! Wow!!!

If you request more than $25,000, they do s'thing similar to a Financial Review. While a 3xcli would bring me to $31500, I will only request the $25k as to remain under Amex's radar lol.

I originally received a $2K limit (even though I had three other 5-digit limit cards!) I got the original 3X to $6K. Six months later I used the automated line and was instantly approved for $18K. Six months later I asked for and received an increase to $25K. Very easy. Worked like a charm. $25K, however, is the highest you can go on the automated line.
