woohoo good morning!!

So yesterday I decided to try my luck with increasing my nfcu nrewards card, it was at $500 and I've has the card bout 7-8 months now. Woke up this morningand checked my account. And I got what I asked for, $1000! That's small compared to many of you, but thats all I want for now! My highest limit so far and I checked CK and it shows the INQ so I assume it was a hardpull. Either way, I'm happy! Funny since I got denied by Wal-Mart yesterday

Thank you! I don't want to enjoy it that much, although very tempting haha. I'll just leave it as is and keep paying it down, my balance is $250. Just wondering, since I have 3 cards total, is it best to pay off one completely, or all but one completely, and keep a balance on one? Or what's the best way to utilize my cards? I understand a util of 9% is ideal, butdoes it matter if its 9% between the cards, or 9% on just one card?

Looking at the other thread about when to apply for second nfcu, I am wondering if now would be good? Will I take another inquiry hit? I don't want to go crazyjust because I got a $500 increase!

It is usually best to have the 1-9% on one card and the others reporting at $0 if you are going to apply for a loan or another CC.

Good to know, thank you! I will pay off my small secured cap one card with a lame $201 limit, and "sockdrawer" it as its called.

I only asked for $1000. Didn't want to push my luck. I know most people shoot for the stars with nfcu but I wasn't sure I would get approved for it at all. Maybe next time ill try $2000. But that's still a lot to me!
