I couldn't resist. I've been asking for CLIs. It started with the AMEX CLI. CLI, no hard pull? Yes, please! I just noticed that my CU is doing cash for balance transfers right now (no fee, plus $150 bonus for transferring $2500 and $250 for transfering $5000). I called them and asked if they would do a hard pull, considering they JUST did an inquiry for my car loan app on February 11th. She said that they would not do a hard inquiry for it within a month of that previous one - so they are going to evaluate me based on my higher utilization and my TU score they gave me of 707. I hear about that tomorrow. Then I said, eff it, I'm calling Capital One Executive Office. I got my APR lowered and I'm going to call back after my AMEX statement cuts to have them do a soft inquiry (YES - soft inquiry!) and have an account manager or whatever go over it.

Really, after I get the results from those 2 things, I'm going to keep my head down. I'm so not going to the point where I add a hard inquiry - I'm working on getting ready to refi my house!

Dang pending charges! I'm waiting for my AMEX to close the billing cycle but there's 2 charges pending - both from Costco. One from the seat covers that are being delivered tomorrow and the other is a $150 hold for a tank of gas. Yes, for a $36 tank of gas. I've put through multiple payments in the last 2 days to get those things covered by the time they freakin' post. Maybe I should just ask Capital One to look at it NOW. Last statement, that balance was $18!

Got a call back from my CU - apparently they'd need to open me a new different card to let me do the balance transfer with bonus...but still, could check for a CLI without a hard pull. So I approved the CLI processing but not the other and I now have my first 5-digit limit! Yay! Just-over-5-digits, but still.
