WOW!! Nagging Collection just fell off my EQ, CAN"T believe it

Time is a true healer for many things in life. I called Equifax a few days ago to see when this 7 year old collection was to be removed and the gentleman said the month of may when it will go away. Funny enough all three credit bureaus removed it earlier than promised.This feels amazing to have scores in the mid 700's. I am curious why it was removed before the due to be deleted date? In any case I'm very happy about this opportunity.

Nice! How much did your scores increase by that falling off? I have a CO that is due to fall off in January of next year. I sure wish that would fall off early.

Yes it is, and this opportunity makes me view credit with a totally different prospective.Pay off all debt just in case..... because unknowns can happen!!!! There are many situations out of our control, and to weigh down our future with debt is without question the irresponsible thing to do. When something like that happen to me 9 years ago I was caught without any real options.Before I knew it, there went all the hard work spent building up my credit. In a moment it was gone. This time around I plan to think and act like a person who wants a future.

My scores are in my siggy.Funny enough this is the first time I've been above 710 on any of my scores.

On average about 55 points, and that is in addition to very low utilization. Doing the happy dance!

Doesnt it feel good!! I was stoked when my final CA fell off and now I can obtain the cards I really want.

Congrats to you! I have to say my time waiting for this collection to fall off did infact feel like seven years. I'm not going to apply for anything yet will just wait a moment.
