That subject deserves its own graduate school course or even area of study. haha.

Get another card, preferably an Amex and a store card from GEMB. Every 3 to 6 months call up all your cards and ask for CLI.

With your Capital one card, you'll have to email the executive office asking for a CLI, removal of AF, and a reduced APR. front line CSR's are less then useless at Cap1.

Consider geting a LOC from a CU just to add variety to your credit reports.

Pay everyone often, on time, and almost always in full.

More details can be found in your textbook.

To add to Turnpike's response, I would say keep your inq's /new cls to a minimum ESP if you are thinking about buying a house in a yr. Also, keep in mind with cc Hp for CLI's

Welcome to MyFico !

To get high credit limits you need good to excellent credit score and a higher income. Nonetheless, a credit union might give you a decent limit card with your current income.

Open a GECRB (legally -GEMB is incorrect!)

A GECRB account - many retail accounts- will allow you to get up to $1,000 credit limit range within a year-possibly $5-10k in two years, and potentially even a Visa, MC, Discover, or Amex upgrade!!!

That's what I'd do.
Examples:
Walmart, Dillard's, JCP, Belk, Buckle, Banana Republic, Paypal, Ebay, Lenscrafters, etc. lol
