Walmart Initial CL Recon Possible?

Just wondering if it's possible to recon the initial CL limit and what's the best way to go about it?

Maybe:

1. Should I hit the LUV button?

2. Should I hit the LUV button and if denied, call the #UW number?

3. Should I just go straight to an UW?

There have been a few here that have had success with increasing the initial limit. Call the backdoor number. Worst they can say is no, some tried 2-3 times before being successful.

Absolutely Possible...I call the Backdoor number and was able to get my initial CL from 600 to 1800. I took just a few minutes

What did you say when you called? I don't physically have the card yet, I'm waiting for it to come in the mail. Should I went until it's all activated or call prior?

I would call prior to activation and as soon as possible after approval. Call the backdoor number listed in the well known thread. You don't have to say anything much; just that you shop there a lot and feel that your credit might merit a larger CL.

Go straight through underwriting. I did when I got my Walmart Discover from $2000 to $5000. I did have a 15 month history on my Amazon account..not sure if that made a difference.

I did a month ago, went from 800 to 1500 (should have asked for more). Called the UW number in the backdoor # thread.

All I told them was I Planned to buy some electronics (a TV) and that everything I was looking at was just below 1800. A few seconds later the lady said it was approved

Hi. I have had mine for 2 and a half months now. I pressed the luv button a week ago and received a rejection notice in the mail like a week later. My credit is aweful however and I was extremely fortunate to be approved in the first place so I am not surprised that I was rejected for a CLI. I will try again at the 4 month mark however...

well was stuck with the intial credit limit, however I will use it 1x a month to buy a few groceries, then pay it off for 4-6 months before asking for a CLI
