What is the ultimate trophy card for the average every-day person?

I have been reading these forums a lot lately. I would like to know what is the card that the average person is trying to get these days? I don't mean the Palladium or JP Morgan cards. I am talking about cards that the average joe would strive to get? Is it the Amex Blue Cash Everday? Is it the Chase Sapphire? What are the cards that you fine folks are hoping to get one day or maybe you already have it and that card just makes you happy to have?

First for me was the Chase Freedom and then the Amex BCE.

Mine was AMEX. After getting that, it was a CSP. Now it's an AMEX Revolver and I want a Discover It. Maybe a BofA Better Rewards and a Citi for diversification.

mine was AmEx ... After adding 4 AmEX cards in 2 months I am not even sure what the next THING is.. definitely not CSP I rarely fly United neither do I stay at Hyatt

My guess would be CSP. I only say that because personally I don't feel AMEX fits the average everyday persons lifestyle, but what do I know.. Myself I want a Pen Fed card sooo bad!! lol

Yep, I think BCE would round out my rewards categories nicely with the cards I already have. The thing that's really getting me is today I received an email offer to apply for it today, I had to bust out a huge bottle of itch cream! lol Unfortunately it'll be about a year before I app for anything again.

When I first started building credit, the Chase Freedom was, then it was the CSP. The CSP is my trophy card since I never though i'd be approve in a short amount of time.

I would have to say CSP. I have BCE , I am pretty sure I will be converted to Cash+ next month ,and I am going to be apping for CSP.

Based on what I've seen here and at other forums, it would appear that the most sought after card, ergo, trophy card would be the Chase Sapphire Preferred. If you look at the total number of posts here and at other sites, nearly everyone who's not a Chase hater wants a CSP!

I guess my two personal "trophy" cards would be the JP Morgan Select Signature Visa, since it's no longer available publicly and the Merrill Lynch Platinum Plus Signature Visa since it wasn't as easy to get as other cards in my stable. Seems just about anyone can get an AMEX card these days, so I think their brand is someone diluted. Don't get me wrong, I do love me some AMEX, and will hold on to my Unicorn as long as possible, but seems that the various Golds and even the Platinum are becoming passe`.

Mines is the AMEX Gold Premier which I was approved of yesterday so I'm done with card apps I have enough. My first card back in 09 was the BOA Platinum Plus. I thought that was great but now I have Chase Sapphire, Discover More, Citi Diamond Preferred and now the AMEX Gold PRG. I think I have some of the best cards.
