Southwest card is here!

Happy to say that just over a week after approval, my very first Visa Signature card has arrived! The last Chase card I got (Amazon) came with scratched up numbers but I was pleased to see this one is in perfect condition. The annual fee is $69, do any of you know when they will bill this? First statement? Second?

congrats! I just received mine this week also. Did it mention anywhere on your welcome pack regarding the 50k points ?? I didn't see it anywhere was just wondering.

Congrats on the SW RR! AF will be on your first statement. Took until almost the 2nd statement for points to register for me (6 weeks) but are well worth it. Make sure if you are travelling to book hotels and cars with their partners, they often give 1k bonus points just for using them!

Thank you! Yes, I had noticed they offer 600 points per rental with Avis, which I use 3-5 times a year. Easy way to get extra points!

I've never flown on Southwest before, how are they with ticket pricing? Do they charge baggage fees? Congrats on the card btw!!

I fly out of MA,and SW's ticket pricing tends to be a bit more than with United or Delta, but Air Tran can often be much lower if I'm flying to the midwest, which is great since Southwest bought them out! They also don't charge bag fees.

@Henchman, the rewards structure is 2pts per $ on southwest and air tran purchases, 2pts per $ with their partners (various hotels, car rentals, etc), and 1pt per $ on everything else. The sign up bonus is very good right now...2 round trip flights after $2000 spend in 3 months.
