Second application for Chase

I recently got approved for the Chase-Southwest Rapid Rewards Visa Signature (I applied online and instantly approved). I have been debating if I should apply for Chase Freedom or not. I am worried Chase would not want to allow me to get their second credit card in just within a week. Anyone has some luck in applying two Chase credit cards in such period of time? Thanks!

What is the limit on your first card 5-10k and above and you should be fine. something like 1-2k and I would probably wait to apply for a second card.

I thought chase makes you wait 30 days or so after apping for 1 card before apping for another?

You will get an auto decline for your second app and will have to call the backdoor numbers. Many people have got more than one card on the same day, just have to call and talk to someone about it.

I did THE EXACT same thing. I applied for the Chase Sapphire Preferred and got approved instantly. I applied for the Freedom a few days later and got the "wait 30 days" message. I called and they told me it was declined. They said they wanted to see how I managed the CSP first for a few months before they approve me for the Freedom.

In my case, I was approved for the Freedom first, then I waited 12 months before apping for the Chase Airlines Card. YMMV, this is how I did it.

Applied Chase United Explorer on Jan 17 and Chase Sapphire Preferred on Feb 3, both approved. United approved few minutes, CSP have to called in to approved.

I applied for the CS and the CSP within a week from each other. (Accidentially applied for the CS, first!)

Thank you for all the responses. I was approved for a 5k limit. I recently accepted a pre-approved offers on City simplicity and thankyou card. One was above 5k, and thankyou was only 1k (I should probably close this low limit card). I will see if they will give me a better CL in a few months from now. I should probably wait to apply for the CSP as well.

if you want the CSP I would probably app for it before your new citi cards start reporting
