GE Money Bank CareCredit Automated CLI = HP or SP

HI all. Just writing to share my experience with a CLI request with CareCredit through GE Money Bank. I've read many many *many* posts on this board that CLI requests through the automated CareCredit telephone voice thingamajig is "always a soft pull". I currently have a $1k CL and am in good standing so I figured what the hey ... I'll try it and it'll *most likely* be a SP ... welp, I requested a measly $300 additional and was declined. Went on through to a backdoor for a recon and they stated once the system has it as a declination it cannot be changed ... yeah right. I'll try again later for a different person. BUT ... I just received a notification: it was a Hard-Pull on TU. Yikes! So, just so you know ... it's not *always* going to be a SP. I'm in WA so that may make a difference YMMV ... dunno ... and I'm not complaining or anything (I'm on here about as much as the Book of Faces) ... but just so y'all know ... maybe it'll be a SP and maybe it'll be a HP. I suppose the point is: if the HP / SP is important always get to a live person first to verify. Lesson learned.

Now off to hit the backdoor numbers again so I don't waste a HP!

Sorry for the decline. I thought I remembered reading that CareCredit was a HP.

I've seen that one along with a lot of SPs too so I figured ... what-the-hey. Good info to know though - luv'ing these forums: I've learned a ton and all without posters flaming or degrading me. Everything has been SO helpful!

That definitely sucks, sorry!

My understanding is that CareCredit is the only GECRB card that is always a HP.

CareCredit and PepBoys are the only two I have heard that were always HP.

They were right in that they don't/can't overturn a denial. They can and will suggest that they initiate a new request for you and manually review it.
