Citi Question

Hello.. I have been looking at Citi cards I have heard good things about Citi Drivers Edge, and am planning to use it for gas purchases and rewards for miles.. I drive a lot. I wanted to know if the points absolutely had to be used towards new vehicle or auto maintenance. I just bought a vehicle and maintenance warranty so don't need it. Can I redeem for other rewards??

I saw the easiest card to get is The citi premier pass, but most don't like it because it doesn't report CL. Will this be very bad? Does it have pre set spending limit?? I have been reading about it, and it seems like a good card..

Any other ones I should be considering??

According to the Citibank website--

Citi® Driver's Edge® Cards – 3 Cards

Earn rebates for the purchases you make and the miles you drive with this no annual fee credit card. Rebates can be redeemed toward the purchase or lease of any new or used vehicle, maintenance of any vehicle or convert rebates to ThankYou® Points to redeem for gift cards, merchandise or service in ThankYou Network.

Most people want to have their CLs reporting in order to benefit their utilization. From reviewing the PremierPass Cards, it appears that the personal use cards do not have preset spending limits, so more than likely, they will not report CLs. The CitiBusiness PremierPass Card does have a $35 over the credit line fee. Therefore, this particular card does have a preset spending limit, and would most likely report a CL.
