My statements on my 2 new Cap1 cards cut yesterday. Hopefully they report soon, I'm hoping for a nice bump as they will be first, and only revolving cards since my ch 7. They should show about 6% total Util

Is true that for many people Capital One doesn't start reporting to the credit bureaus for the first couple months? I have had my card for over a month and I don't believe it has reported yet. When it does get around to reporting will it report for all the months since I go the card? How does it work?

Mine reported within a few days after the first statement close date. I did charge about $150 and paid all but $25 before the statement closed, so it's reporting $25 balance on all 3.

I'm pretty sure mine hasn't reported. The only monitoring I have right now is CreditKarma however. My new Walmart card reported almost immediately but my Capital One card hasn't shown up yet. It isn't cost effective for me to buy new credit reports for such minor things.

Mine hasn't reported yet. It has been a month an a half. I also hear rumours that Capitial One doesn't report the real CL but rather the high balance historically for the card. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks in advance for the info.

Capital One has always reported on my account on the 16th of the month and I subscribe to CreditScore.com (Experian), tui.transunion.com (TransUnion), and FICO (Equifax).

I personally prefer the transunion site. It's $15 a month and it allows you to refresh you information which produces a new credit report and score every 24 hours.

If I want a new Experian report I have to pay $4.95 everytime.

Thanks Mr Turnpike. Ya, I paid $300 dollars on the 28th electronically. My account was still locked yest even though my statement showed the payment received and processed on Feb 28. It makes no difference to me now because I am not planning on using my card at all in the near future. I did want to figure out how long it takes for my credit limit to be restored once I pay just so I know for the future. I chatted online with them and they said that they would release the hold on my account yesterday. Who knows how long it may have taken if I hadn't contacted them. Online payments can take a while to go through. It was a similar situation with my Walmart Card. The Walmart charge took 5 days to even hit my bank account and 4 days before it posted to my account.

Capital One is funny like that. If your payment is more than $150.00 it takes five or more days to post. You can call Capital One and have them contact your bank to verify that the payment posted to your account two days after you make the payment and Capital One will release the funds to your card.

When I have a large payment to make I'll make a payment of $125.00 one day and the next morning the payment will post and it will be reflected on my available credit balance and then I'll make a payment of $130.00 and the next morning it will post and so on and so forth. Make the payment before noon and it will show up the next morning.

I to had made large payments to my bill and it took forever to post which was very frustrating.

My Capital One card began reporting after the second statement cut. It reported all months it had been open up to that time.

It has reported my Credit Limit correctly, and also my high balance as well. It has reported my balance on the statement end date each month, and has been very predictable.

My payments were held from available balance for a number of days during the first few months. I kept calling and asking them to release the funds. Eventually, I got hold of an Account Specialist from here in the US who informed me that the best way to stop that from happening was to make a large payment and let it run its course. The next month, I made a payment of $1,200 or so. It took about 8 or 9 days to clear from my available balance, but since then, my funds clear immediately from my available balance no matter what the size of my payment. While inconvenient at first, it appears Capital One now trusts me and has made the process very smooth in return.

Hope this helps.
