When does a new account show up on CRs + WF Question

AMEX:

I got my Delta Amex in Feb. It has been 2 statement cycles and none of the CRs show it as of today.

How long does it take for new accounts with amex to show up.

WF:

I have a WF Secured Card which may be up for graduation this month. What kind of card will I get after graduation ? Can I PC it to Cash Rewards ?

It took me the 3rd month for my BCE revolver to show up on the credit reports. Then it showed that the past three months were current (cause it would be foolish for anyone to burn amex before they even start reporting your new card lol).

Sometimes take 2 months but usualy no more then 1

Amex Started reporting today. Yay.. But is it common for them to show up as a diff account number than the one on the card ?

That account number is just a reference number to your account. Unlike other lenders on your CR, AMEX uses reference numbers where it lists you account number on the CR.

Just remember that not everyone qualifies for their card to graduate even if you had it over a year. So its not a guarantee. I dont think you can PC a WF product but you can always call and ask.

I found that the number in CR is same as the number that comes with the pay slip on the statement. Its just diff from card number..

For WF it is the car number minus the last 4..

That is why I said "may".. the lenders are weird when it comes to graduating. My friend still has not graduated but he has another card with 3K CL with WF.. WF still is not graduating his card. He is not closing it to preserve his AAoA..

It is a well-known fact that Wells Fargo sucks for credit cards.

I took a card from them because they were the only bank allowing me to get a card w/o a SSN. Being a non immigrant student I didnt have a SSN when I got my WF secured card.. I knew they suck but I had no option. Even the sub primes wont issue you a card w/o SSN

Interesting. I didn't know you could get a credit card at all without an SSN. Were you able to access your credit profile without an SSN?

Most likely if your card does graduate you keep the same benefits and rewards that comes with it. I remember one student was trying to product change is college WF visa to a Cashback Visa and they would not let him. I really dont know what kind of WF secured card you have but just call and ask and they will give you a more definite answer.

Even I was surpirsed when the banker asked me if I want to open a CC acccount along with checking. I told her that I dont have a SSN she said its not a problem they can do it with my DL tooo.. I dont know how they did it. Now that I have a SSN I can see them reporting on all 3 since the date I opened the account. I have more than a years history that allowed me to get an AMEX the day I got my SSN.

I never tried to access my credit profile but I started getting preapproved offers from Cap1 some 2-3 months after I opened acccount with WF and AMEX gold offers some 7-8 months later.

I get no rewards what so ever. I dont care about the rewards as I not using that card (except for RedBox).

call them up and ask them if they can enroll your card in the cash rewards program. My WF secured card has it so i know its out there.

I called them.. the lady said they can not do it now.. It can only be done when the account was opened.
