haha no this is actually my 1st app spree.

i was going to settle for just CSP and BCP, but american express doesn't want me. I actually applied for BCP first!

This is my 1st app spree. For the past 2 years I've only 2 credit cards!

I'm applying for 1 last card and then I'm not going to do any more apps for a good period of time

yea i did. still got denied.

they cited my loan balance was too high. nothing i can do about that until my next statement for auto loan cuts to reflect the amount i've paid off. i even offered to send them proof of payment and stuff, but still couldn't get anything done. Amex recon seems to be reading off whatever the screen's telling them, so it's really hard to get anything done.

I apped for the AAdvantage Visa a little over a month ago and Citi pulled EQ. I'm in Iowa amd they have always been a reliabe EQ puller here. I had three recent inquiries and was instantly approved. What are your scores? How about util and aaoa? I was around 740 when they pulled and 18% total util when they pulled. 6 years aaoa.

i only have FAKOs for EQ and TU. They're 766 for EQ and 740 something for TU. My EX FICO is 768 from what amex gave me.

util is $2 owed out of all my CLs if I don't include auto loan. AAoA currently is almost 5yrs.

I'm in california, so I am hoping they pull anything but EX. I already got 8-9 inquiries on it and I don't want to add anymore onto my EX report.

If anyone else's know let me know too.

Thanks!

That's surprising Amex declined you but they are finicky at times. If you already have an account with them you can always try applying and it will only be a SP unless approved; at least that has been my experience in the past! As far as Citi is concerned everything looks good to me. Your util is low and you have a good AAoA. How many recent inqs do you have on EQ? I did try apping to them a few years ago and had around 8 recent inquiries and was denied; that was the top reason cited on the denial letter if memory serves me correctly. You could always freeze the EX report before you apply if you don't want them pulling it :-) Good luck and let us know what you decide to do!

Citi pulled EX for me in OR. while Discover and Chase were bothered by 7 inq in 2 months Citi did not seam to care 2 months later and they even issued me the highest CL ever on the AAdvantage card. Expected a straight denial but it was a nice surprise

how do i freeze my ex reports? so they wont be able to see it at ll and are forced to pull TU/EQ?

i have 1 inquiry total on both EQ and TU for the past 2 years. Not too sure which one Discover pulled but I surely hope it's EQ or TU rather than EX.

i don't have any amex accounts and i've already taken 2 HPs in total for 2 denies in a row by amex
