PENFED Approval below 700??

Anyone been approved for their credit cards with scores below 700?? If so what was your score when approved? Any baddies? What card did you get approved for?

I have been a member of Penfed since 2008. Approved at the time for membership only my score was still in the high 500's at the time. Now my EQ score is 685 and I have been approved for Discover IT, AMEX BCE, NFCU (14k CR and 7KPL and Navchek 10K), BOA 321.

Go there. Search by name. Penfed. This will give you different scores people apped with and their results. Just browsing, there were some that got approved with lower scores.

thanks I have my stubs ready...just briefly browsing the thread It seems like you need at least 700 but there were a few 680's that got through with paid derogs ( a lot of high 700's got denied). I may go for it after my Discover balance updates to $0. Being that CITI hates me, a Penfed is the last card I want.

That thread has many old approvals... Great info, but not extremely helpful in today's economy. Is there a place where we may be able to find more recent Penfed approvals?
Im itching for that Penfed Promise Visa myself. Looks like they want you to have 750+!!

I was approved with a 734 for PenFed Cash Rewards with a 20,000 limit.

if I remember right my wife was high 780s+ and they declined her for pymriding debt.... go figure
