The Target red card gives you 5% off at the time of the purchase. It is deducted from your bill.

The Target Debit does it too. I have one and only use it at Target. You have to enter your pin so if it is stolen it is likely you won't lose money.

oh i meant like actualy cash back. like discover cash back. or walmart cash back. i dont remember getting a pin

You can't get a cash advance with your store's card. Walmart, to my knowledge, is the only store card (maybe Nordstrom) that does it.

I have a pin for my Target Debit card and it always asks if I want cash back at the counter. Is it the Target CC that doesn't do this?

That's odd. When I signed up they asked me to input a PIN number and everytime I swipe it, it asks for my PIN number. I wonder if it depends on what bank/CU you have your checking account with.

Unfortunately, the Target debit card will not help build your credit.

I know that! Duh! I was just saying that the debit card also offers 5% cash back.

I have 4 CCs, student loans, a mortgage, and a car lease building my credit. I won't apply for a Target CC because I burned them in BK in 2003.
