As I said in another post, I applied for a lot (and failed) in February. I'm based in Colorado. Here are the inqueries that hit my credit reports.

February 2013 (at this point scores must have been around 650 with extremely high util and one baddie BK7 from 2005)

CBNA - Experian (denied)

FNB OMAHA - Experian (denied)

US BANK CONSOLIDATED - Experian (approved $2600)

DISCOVER - Equifax (approved $1500)

BRCLYSBANKDE - TransUnion (CLI approved $2600 to $3300)

PENTAGON - Equifax (joined and will be first when I'm ready to leave the garden -- need a good gas card)

CHASE - Experian (denied - failed recon due to util)

WFB CD SVC Wells Fargo - Experian (denied - dumb request and should have figured out the problem by this time)

Found MYFICO and read, read, read, read.

April 2013 (at this point scores around 700 with < 5% util on CRs):

AMEX - Experian (approved for AMEX Green -- wow and foot in door was only goal)

CHASE - Experian (approved for Chase Freedom $2500 after RECON)

By April, I had nothing to lose with Experian inquiries since I plan to try PenFed, Congressional FCU, and possibly DCU (all Equifax) when I leave the garden. I took my Equifax hits in February to join PenFed and CFCU (although CFCU was soft pull to join since I explicity told them that I needed to rebuild credit and would not apply for 6-8 months). DCU looks like a good goal, but the PenFed card is more valuable to me and I like CFCU for low-interest no-transfer-fee (plus I'll be doing direct deposit at CFCU).
