DCU Finally Came Thru For a Brother!

I got approved today for membership, to everyone follow the advice given on the boards. Apply for membership first, THEN for a credit card with these guys. I applied on 3/18/13 for the credit card first, then themembership immediately after and my application was in limbo for the longest while after I proceeded that way. Apparently, what I was told earlier this afternoon before I got approved was that they had a huge influx of applicants recently, so the "pending approval" pile that my application was in finally reached to today. I'm sso estatic!

Anyway, what should I do next guys? How do I go about getting the free EQ score from them now? Thanks.

Thanks guys. My fico is in my Sig. I got approved for a 2k limit but I'm gonna try and recon for a higher one tomorrow if possible. I'm trying to do a balance transfer to it to take advantage of the lower interest rate they gave me.

Most credit unions want you to fill out another app for a higher CL. I knows local one does and so does PSECU

Thanks for the congratulations guys. Yeah, I sent a secured message to the lender (Idk if it's the UW that handle my app personally or not), it's an option you see when you log in to the account to view the status of the loan applications. This part of the site is hard as hell to find. I had to do a google search to find the link, to find another link that took me there. Actually, I think i got there by clicking the mortgage status application link, then to the left there's a box that ask for your email, then password you used when you applied for the card. Hopefully, I'll get a response back tomorrow morning with some good news about the CLI. if not I'll call them and ask you to speak to an underwriter, maybe even the one that handled my CC app.

DCU application status

Once you login then you click on the loan and then you can send a secured message.

Hmmm....now that I'm not sure of but I have always gotten a response back from them doing it that way. Maybe the application number directs it to a certain person. I wish I had more for you but I really don't know.....sorry.

When I applied for the CC it was instant so i didn't need to talk with them. When i applied for the auto loan I want to say that it was rather quickly. I think I applied one afternoon and the next morning I got a call.

However, you've experienced the slow response that they have been doing lately. I tell ya, I must have gotten in just in time becasue everything flowed through flawlessly for me. I applied on a Saturday, got the instant approval, got a phone call from them that Saturday, and then I had the membership package and CC by the next Friday. So I was impressed but that type of service seems to have been swept under the rug lately.

Yeah, that ship has long sailed my friend. I say to anyone who haven't applied yet to these guys, get in while you can. Who knows they might even start turning away non-MA residents due this so-called huge influx of applicants out of nowhere.

Like Rhaeny, my approvals were quick and since I was already a member- my cc's were to me within 4 days, car refi'd and docs signed the same day.

I got my acceptance e-mail finally as well.

Had been waiting forever (most likely due to also apping for their CC when it "pre-approved" me).

I'm now waiting on the package in the mail.
