PC from Amex Delta Gold

how long do you have to wait to Pc from the delta gold to a card like the BCE? I've heard 13 months, but I've also heard that only applies to those PC'ing into a card with an AF.

Can someone help straighten this out and help me understand? Thanks in advance!

My DW was approved for the Delta Gold and about a week later I asked for a PC to the BCE. Got the card in about a week. But YMMV.

Id say just call and try to do it. See what happens. I've heard 13 months for charge cards. Haven't heard anything for revolvers.

I also obtained my BCE in a method similar to this. My Delta Gold "operated" like the BCE about 2 days after requesting the PC and the new card showed up a week later. There's a few reasons as to why this is a good alternative to straight applying for the BCE. Some people may value the miles sign up bonus more than the standard $100 from BCE (or $150 from various pre-approvals). Others may find it easier to obtain the BCE by applying for the Delta Gold and then PC'ing.

i called and PC my Delta card to BCE after 1 months of used......

Tips: Just said you interest and the BCE fit your life style better. One simple phone call to Amex solve the problem quick enough for you not even know it.

I believe this is only possible, if no AF is invvoled (due to the credit card act). Else it must be 13 months I think.

I actually went ahead and applied directly for the amex BCE instead of the delta gold(and the PC).

After doing some research on here some people have been successful with PC from the delta into a blue card in as short time as a couple of weeks. They said the best way is through a secured message to amex.

What you do is log out of your account, and then go back to the American Express page. Then, when you are going to the application (Don't app just yet) you will see off to the side there are is a small little pop-up thing that lets you talk to them on chat and I think they will be able to help.

I was curious to see if I could get a PC on my Amex Delta Gold to BCE also so I called customer service. They said that I have to wait until the card is open for 1 year. I am not sure why I am not eligible. Oh well, whatever.

It's due to the CARD Act. You should be able to go from a non AF to another non AF or an AF to an AF. Some have reported being able to downgrade too.

So do you think I could PC from the Delta Gold to the BCP but not the BCE?

It sounds like three of these posters changed from Delta Gold to BCE (AF to non-AF) in under 13 months, I wonder if it was because they were brand new cards? I have had a mine a few months.

Thank you for this information! This is exactly what I plan to do! Quick question, will I be able to keep all of the sky miles I accumulate? Including the bonus miles if they're still unused at the time of PC.

Basically are the miles (especially bonus miles) affected by the status of the card?

I sent a secure message, they got back to me and said that I was eligible to change to BCE, they included the terms of the new card in the message and asked me to confirm that I wanted to proceed with the PC. I am psyched, BCE is gonna be so much more useful to me than the Delta Gold in the long term.
