Old Navy Visa CLI Denied!!!

I finally got a call from them about Old Navy Visa. He asked why I wanted to increase to $10K because of the travelling outside of the country. He also told me I didn't spend enough for $10K. I asked him how about another $2K. He put me on hold. He came back and I got approved for $7K. He also told me they couldn't do any more CLI for this account because I have a few other GE accounts.

So I'm not going to ask for any more CLI. That's it. I don't want them to close all my GE accounts. It was scary.

UPDATE: I just got a cll from him. He couldn't approved. It stayed at $5K. It is because I have too many GE accounts.

A GE banker told us $100k was their limit.

I haven't count yet. I might have $10K. I think they can look at all your GE accounts. It used to be independent.

Lucky, I didn't get CLD or account closure. I won't call them again. It was scary.

LOL! Me too! I have Walmart, Lowe's, and Paypal MC! My combined credit with all three is only $24,000! Walmart- 12,500, Lowe's 6,500, and PayPal MC 5,000, and that was just raised with an auto CLI!

Yes, they can see all of your accounts - which is why I make one phone call for all CLI's ...why bother hanging up and calling for each card? Unless, of course you don't get the increases. 😉

Sorry about the decline- I guess now you know what your internal limit is with GE.

My combined on the 3 cards is about $25K

Although they do SP CLI's on request, I can't ask for more, all my 3 credit reports are frozen. This also prevents me from apping for new cards.

Idk if this is true guys and gals...
Bc I get denied a cli on my $15k Wmt Disc, but when I called to get a cli from $8k to $10k on Dillard's, they approved.

Yes, they can see them. The same thing happened to me in Jan- I called for Walmart and they said no ( probably cause I just got one the month before) but after he asked if there was anything else he could do for me - like the denial was doing something for me- I said, what about the rest? Approved on Chevron, No on JCP ( same reason as Walmart) and yes on Payl MC.
Same call, same analyst.

They told mw it's be a HP for JCP.
My JCP card got to $6500 without Credit Solutions :-)

That's ok... Yes, they did. He called back 5 minutes later. He told me that he couldn't do it. I thought they were going to close all my GE accounts. It was scary.

Does JCP usually HP? I do not recall them HPing me and don't see it on my reports from December?

Ron, I'm sure that was scary. I would have lost my mind.
