There are a few other threads on this topic that I've posted in, but I'll say it here to: I called on Friday and PCed from the Zync NPSL to a Premium Rewards Gold. The CSR offered the Gold and Platinum. No HP necessary. Cardmember since 2010.

Just got off the phone with AmEx. A very nice CSR spoke with me for a while, and will be calling me back in a couple days to finalize my PC to a green card from a $500 hard limit Zync. I didn't realize today was the 15th, otherwise i would have waited until tomorrow. And she is off work tomorrow, so that's why it will happen on wednesday.

i'll ask on wednesday and find out. hopefully the limit will go away. that is a major thing stopping me from actively using my zync. its hard to get the extended warranty when the stuff you buy costs more than the $500 hard limit...

Has anyone considered PC to the Senior Green/Gold Card?
I know the rewards aren't included but it keeps the AF close to the Zync.

I have considered it. Not really for rewards, but to get away from the hard limit zync as cheaply as possible. I would just stick with the hard limit zync, if it wasn't preventing me from getting an amex revolver. I am planning on keeping open an AmEx charge card until I can get a BCE/BCP.

So, I just got off the phone with CSR and she asked me where did hear about the upgrade. I explain to her that a CSR several weeks ago informed me and she put me on hold. 60 seconds later, she ask me which card I wanted and I informed her that I wanted the PRG. She laugh and said excellent choice, and she explained to me about the benefits. My Zync card fee will be prorated to pay for the PRG and that I did not have to pay for the other two cards fees. People, I agree that the fee on the Zync is great and it is a lovely card, but the MRE to full MR was what sway me to go forward with the PRG.

Did you know they offered me the platinum card. As I'm only 22 I can't afford that.

Am so confused! I called in and asked if i was eligible for an upgrade and he mentioned the cards i am eligible for .. So i picked senior gold card and he asked for my info ..SSN,address and income ...he said thats the process they need for product change ...and also said theyre gonna check report .... Ive never pcd before so i said ok .....he said it was approved for PC ...but then, i checked to see the app status site and it was there as a new app!!! Is this normal?? I didnt want another card, just a PC on my zynch ....help?

Seems like the Platinum is just another charge card like the Green but the $450 AF gets you some perks. They are offering it like no tomorrow.
