My shell AU should arrive in about a week... I know there is a 5K line on it (util is a different matter which I will fix shortly), but 20+ years of history.

We called AmEx yesterday about AU for me on DH's card - they wanted to know if I ever had an AmEX (answer- yes, closed by consumer in '94).... they pulled those records (from almost 14 years ago) - and want to 'review' them (whatever dept that is or means). Might they be thinking of giving me back "MY" account with all the history? I am learning one never knows with AmEX - it was suppose to be a simple 'send a card for my wife' not a major manipulation. Neither DH or I can figure this out.

No LUV from target (6 months old and 'review month') they are getting PIF and then only prescriptions - no more target shopping until they LUV me. If nothing else Target had very comprtitive low prices for their pharmacy.

Couple of days ago I called to Target to close my red card. CSR talked me out of it and see if I might get CLI in few months. I guess, I'll wait few more months and see if they give CLI to my card. Good Luck with your Amex.

I guess "I" could add it online (DH and online are 2 contrary things). It took me years to get him to monitor his bank account online!

If they might 'just might' re-open my account (even though it's only Plat compared to his black) then I'll wait on it a bit..... his concierge is working this so I am sure there will be an answer very shortly - and we did call very late yesterday afternoon.

Indeed there is. My parents are always yelling at me because they have to pay an extra 1500/yr for perks I barely use.

I don't understand AMEX. I had a card, closed about 10 years ago and was told I'm not eligible for a card, even though no collection was filed.

We have been getting multiple offers from amex in the mail. All our mail goes to our home so it has to be forwarded to us here, which we pay for. What a waste. Why do these companies send you multiple offers over and over. Good Luck Vicki

Edit: On principal i refuse to pay a yearly fee for a CC. They make money when you use the card in merchant fees.
