And besides the reward points is horrible woth flexperks.

(Also now you can apply for the cash+ via phone to your local branch. I don;'t know if that works if only they know you or something like that but saves a lot of trouble)

I had called last month requesting a PC from my Flexperks to the Cash+, but was denied. I speculate the reason being twofold: (1) the account was opened during the Olympics Medal sign up bonus; (2) the account has been open for less than 12 months.

I'm assuming if they allowed the PC, then instead of app'ing for the Cash+, everyone would apply for the Flexperk bonus then PC into the Cash+ later.

From what I've been reading, perhaps US Bank is doing PC on a case by case basis. They would do it for some people but not others. Since I already have other point rewards credit cards I have not been using this card in the past few months. I just did not want to pay the AF for sitting in my sock drawers. I would use it again if they convert it to Cash+ visa signature. Do you guys think opening a US Bank checking/saving account at the local branch might help the chance of converting it?

Also, does anyone know if US Bank will do a hard pull on CR for opening a checking/saving account with them?

US Bank does not do a hard pull to open checking and savings accounts. If you do open one and get a pre-APPROVED offer it is based on a soft pull as well (if it is a pre-QUALIFIED offer a hard pull will be done.) Having the accounts do have some impact on approval of credit products though the relationship score isn't estabilshed until after the first 120 days.

I already have the cash+ so I PC'ed the college credit card (I mean right now !!!) that I had for 2 years into the Flexperks Travel Rewards Visa signature.

(Now whoever said that you need a credit limit of atleast $5000 to PC into the signature is incorrect.Mine only had 300 as a limit and she completed the PC process(with a new account number)

i checked online and found that it has not yet been updated and my old account number still shows. Maybe it takes a day or two just like credit limit increase.

She said the Travel Rewards signature is the hIghest card that USBANK offers and then comes the cash+ signature. I asked why does the cash+ signature doesn't have the online application button. She said that there has been some changes to the cash+ rewards and USBANK changed them to attract its banking customers. i said it sure did attract me.

She laughed.

It just depends upon the CR and how polite you are.

And someone mentioned that The Travel Rewards is a better card than the Visa signature. I wholeheartedly agree.

Rusty- I would suggest going ahead with the PC' first.

And no HP whatsoever.

I have never been HP'ed for cli/PC unless I am applying for a brand new card(such was the case when I applied for the cash+ via phone)

Oh and everything will transfer to the new account.

Only the new account number will change.

The only process for a PC on an account with a limit as low as that is to CLI via HP. Then go through the PC process. The same rep will handle both steps, but you have to be talking to somebody higher than an entry level rep. A supervisor or manager can get in touch with underwriting via internal email to take care of it.
