I would love some advice...

hello everyone.....

my fico TU is 751 and EQ is 771 , im pretty sure they are both up since I lower my util .

Im trying to get a rewards card . Prolly going to app for a few things.. not sure .

I have a BoA 6.8k

Banana 4k

Local Credit union MC 4K

JC penny 800

please give me your inside on whats a good choice . I have 3 pulls in TU , 2 in EQ ..

In the next year or 2 I think I will travel 2 times a year at most.....

I dont mind .. the AF.....

I see many people advice Freedom over Citi...... Chase sounds good.. with the rotating and the 1% on everything

Discover it card and yes the freedom is a great card

Discover it card is what they were talking about.

Chase freedom and discover it are basically the same card, both have rotating 5% categories. Both great cards. Bce/p would also be a great one like LS said.

Pulled the trigger

Got the Freedom with 6k

Amex they put me on 14 day wait... called to recon.... They told me that I needed to confirm my address in a letter that they will send because is a recent addy..

Nice cards and limits.

I would say that the Freedom and It are 'cornerstone' cards for most credit users, as almost everyone spends some amount of money on gas and restaurants (and they are usually good for 5% on the two for half a year combined at least), and would argue that most people would also benefit from the BCE/BCP depending on how much they spend on groceries, not to mention the 1% on everything else. After those 2-3, 6 months to a year in the garden gives you time to really figure out what you want any future cards to do for you, rewards wise. Or you might find out that those three pretty much cover your needs for credit, and the couple of hundred dollars that they reward you with each year will suffice.
