Update on the daydreams full of pineapples.

Just in time for the good weather.

Wife decided we're only going to be in this city 3-4 years then she's off to medschool and I along with her,

so, decided not to go through with the house, I could kill her, she made me pull 5 times before she decided no thank you on any house.

Good news is, I found a house to rent, paid the guy 6 months in advance.

Got a new car, 2011 honda accord Ex-L 19000 miles

certified, Interest rate is at 2.99 with psecu. ( First time finanicing)

Paid the insurance 6 months in advance.

Motorcycle too katana 600 2006 paid in full

cell phones = paid for next 2 years.

PSECU CC is now at 20k

Got approved for blue sky american express 7.5k

NFCU FLAGship 11k

discover: 500 limit ( lol....)

keeping Walmart card for tu : 600 limit

closed everything else, amazon, applied, capital one, best buy.

csp pending.

Monthly expenses for next 6 months = car loan $283mi I believe, could be lower.

cc all cards = $50mi

tmc = 100mi

total. $433

DTI = 18.04

feels good to be in control

Wow, glad to see you have such financial stability, that is the whole point with this credit thing, stability. As for paying everything 6+ months ahread of time, I would normally state loss of dividends, but as savings or short term cds are at like .5 % or less to hell with it I would do the same! What do you plan to do with income for the next few months/years, boost retirement savings? Anyway congrats on it all, and congrats to your wife on med school!

I save the income usually putting 100 dollars a month into blue chip dividend stocks and reinvest dividends.

I'm 26 so I have a long time to save figured I'd start early. I'd pay a year in advance if I could but most wont take the money. With my cellphones I just paid 2000 and it goes as credit. Toward my account.

For the car Im thinking i can have a separate account with 6 months payments already in there and it auto deducts the amount monthly.

Pay off the ccs and save my income and put some away into investments.

I don't make much at all but having bad credit for a long time made me frugal. plus I keep all my clunkers lol I think im going to sell them and put the money toward my car payment plan.

I'm trying to live within my means. I want to pay 6 months in advance with every bill and keep 6 months saved just incase of an emergency ill be at least covered for a year. Hopefully 2 years or more in the future. No reason I can't be happy and financially set with a moderate income for my area.

Erie pa has very low standard of living.

You have really a promising future with planning this early on. 6 months savings for ALL expenses is a great base but continue to contribute towards this up to 2 years even. I would be a bit more aggressive if at all possible with your retirement savings, max out a roth IRA! Also make sure you monitor your bills even with paying ahead, they WILL overchage the second you dont pay attention, they know somehow

I will definitely work on the 2 years savings amount. I'll keep my eyes open for any surcharges and things out of the ordinary.
