Amex Luv Button Mistake!

Have this happen to you?

I think I hit the Amex Luv Button two many times. I was trying for the 3x CLI on my Costco Amex I hit the button one day before my 6 month date and the day after my 6 month date and got a message stating that further Information would be needed and I would be notified by mail within 7 to 10 days.

Look's like a FR?

I was right it's a FR! Form 4506T And they took away my Luv Button!

How much did you request and are your accounts frozen?

If they are not frozen, they just need additional information. If you did request above 25K this is normal and no FR.

Only $10,000 more on my Costco card. No the account was not frozen

It was probably because of me pushing that button two early!

I have also read that if total credit lines with AMEX go beyond $35k you also must provide income verification.

Well, you have two choices. Reply or not. If not, they will close your accounts. You shouldn't have anything to worry about if you were honest about your income.

Not an FR. They need to verify income for the amount requested. If you choose not to send in the form 4506-T then no CLI and business as usual. If you comply and your income substantiates the CL, then likely approval. If your accounts aren't frozen- Not an FR.

I'm sure they will. And if not, just call 'em for the CLI. Next time, be less enthusiastic, I know it's hard because everyone wants LUV!!!
