Hi! I asked this question in the rebuilding credt forum to no avail. I opened a SearsSolutions Mastercard back in november, primarily to get discounts at Sears. Well, this past April Orchard Bank took over now I have an Orchard Bank card. Before I even activated it, I recieved a letter stating it's transitioning to a Capital One card. My question is 1)

Will this hurt my score, and show 3 new opened accounts, 2 closed accounts? and 2)I already have an unsecured card w/Cap1 and a secured card w/Cap1..isn't there a limit? Whats gonna happen? Thanks in advance, its been a crazy credit roller coaster w/this dang card!!

Won't hurt your credit, each of those changes just effected your one tradeline, no new tradelines are created.

I had the sears card, closed it before the purchase, but the tradeline has been modified for each of these changes. Including the final change of removing the CL and showing it as a close a full year after I had closed it.
