Should I request a amex cli and new card?

I'm on my 6th month from the last cli, but I also want the amex costco card.. would applying for the costco card affect my cli request for my blue ?

Yes .. If you get a new card you will not be eligible for CLI .. I had same experience last month .. I got new card and my CLI got declined ...

May not be a rule to share .. Request for CLI first and then apply for Costco card ... I advice again to apply for Costco card at warehouse rather applying online ...

ok so I just requested and instant approve for 9k from 3k! I was going to apply online ( just in case I get denied .. I don't want to get rejected in person )

whats the difference between online and in store ?

Time line, or amount of time between the two events is what is being referrenced I believe..in person apps may have a processing lag that online apps do not have.

I couldbe wrong... But, from what I understand: applying online causes AmEx to verify you are a costco member before approving the card (due to waiving the AF). If you apply in the store, that info is already verified, as the store is submitting the APP for you.

ok so I couldn't wait anymore, logged into amex and applied for the costco card.. instant approval!! I guess they don't make you wait anymore.

That is correct Costco Amex is instant approval or denial online. I was approved on may 3rd for Costco Amex instant approval online. I think Costco and Amex finally got their ish together to streamline the process.
