Lowe's CC Post BK7 Success.

This is just information for anyone thinking about applying for a Lowe's Card after Chapter 7. Here's my situation: Filed for BK7 5/2011, Discharged 9/2011. Numerous new accounts applied for post BK. 30 INQUIRIES on Transunion. Yes 30!!! Most of these thanks to Navy Federal Credit Union. Income 90,000 yearly individual. Transunion score 678 (Walmart TU8 FICO), utilization 10 percent. Scoured these forums, along with whogavemecredit, and credit pulls database for approval references. Didnt see any anecdotal evidence of anyone able to get this card less than 2 years post BK7. But....my washer and dryer both decided to die on me at the same time. I got tired of going to the laundromat every few days and was mad as hell that I burned half my day there on my day off from work so I went to Lowe's and applied for a Lowe's card.........I know, bad idea right? Wrong!!!! Approved for $1200 in store, I told the sales associate jokingly, oh that's it huh? She tells me, I can call and see if they can approve you for more so I tell her ok what the hell, I'm already approved, see if they will double it. APPROVED for $2400!!!!!!! So, I go home and tell my wife that we can buy a new washer and dryer and take advantage of the 6 month no interest financing and she tells me "Oh, nevermind, I had my friends husband who's a handyman fix both for $200. WTH???!!! So, for all of you thinking about applying for this card less than 2 years out of BK7 discharge....I CAN TELL YOU FOR A FACT IT IS POSSIBLE!!!! Thank you GE and thank you LOWE'S....oh, and thank you handyman also. LOL!!!

Wow, NFCU hit your TU that many times? They only hit my TU when I opened my account. Everything else was EQ.

Yes Pare,

On almost everything from my Cash Rewards, to nRewards, to Navcheck, to Auto Loan and CLI and then recon's when I get denied they hit Transunion. I keep hearing everyone saying they use equifax exclusively for credit products but when I look at my report, they are pulling mostly Transunion. On the bright side, my cash rewards they converted to Signature Cash Rewards when they upped my limit to 22,500 and I converted the nRewards to the Flagship Visa and they upped me to 22,500 also. I aso got Navcheck from them 2 months ago with 5,000 to start and asked for 15,000 last week and approved. So all in all, I have to say it was well worth the hits.
