I want to thank many contributors who mentioned in various posts how recon can be very effective.
After my Chase Amazon card was approved. I applied for Capone and Citi got 7-10 message on both.
After calling cc I came to know about the rejection. But reading recon experience I contacted CapOne and Citi EO via email.
CapOne was approved within 10 days and today I got the call from Citi EO with approval of 2000 cli card.
28 days in garden and with the new Citi card remaining 7 months would pass like a breeze.
MyFico contributors, I could have done without your assistance.

Cheers

Now will apply for new cards in 2014 only. 1 secured and 3 unsecured cards would help me achieve my target of good credit.

They usually have lower APRs if you plan on carrying a balance and usually give you higher CLs.

Alliant is a pretty good CU, I have my HSA throught them, I currently do not have the credit to get approved for their cards, but luckily I got in NFCU for that at the beginning of the month and got a 6k credit limit. I'm hoping that gives me a jump into a decent credit score, lol.
