I know Chase will pretty much pull your CR any time you ask for an increase. And I know that they're not really big on doing auto CLI's....

But has ANYONE experienced an auto CLI????

Does it happen, just not very often??? or is it just not possible, period???

I used that card for a year and never really bothered applying for anything else or ask for any CLI. I got around the CL by paying in full mutiple times a month. About 13-14 months after having the card I finally asked for a CLI when I needed to charge something expensive and they increased me to 8.5k with 1 HP.

Approx after another 4 months, I applied for the CSP and Freedom and got decent limits. I asked for CLI again and they gave me my current limits.

Then finally they gave me an auto CLI on my Amazon card out of the blue when I don't use that card as much anymore.

Edit: to add, I just got my CSP and Freedom a little more than 2 months ago. Hopefully they'll give me some auto CLI, but I wouldn't count too much on it. I plan to ask for a CLI again sometime end of this year or early next year. From my experiences thus far the CLI given was well worth the inquiry, so I don't really mind.

The most I had used in a month was up to 12k, if I remember correctly.

I just charge whatever I'm paying for on the card, and once the payment posts, I'll PIF immediately to free up the available credit, and then I'll charge again.

It will not affect your chances if you pay before it reflects on your CR. Whenever you pull your CR, you can see the actual amount you charged and paid for each cycle. All lenders can see that. This is also why in some cases people get denied with the reason that they paid down most of their balances only recently.

I got a couple small auto CLIs in my first 9 months. Then after a year and a half I did the hard pull but they only gave me $500. So I reconned and they gave me another 3k. If you go for the HP make sure you recon for what you really want.

I recently received a Chase auto-cli from 7k to 12k with only about $2k in spend on the card over 4 months. So very low spend, never let a balance post on it, and didn't use it for 3 months. However, I did open a checking account and shoved a few thousand dollars in it. I only spent around $300 to 500 per month on my CSP (so they weren't seeing much spend at all). I guess they just liked getting the regular direct deposits and the money not being used for anything other than paying off my cards...otherwise, I don't know why they did it. But since, I have started putting a lot more through the card as a big thank you (not really...it just started fitting my spending better).

Gosh...I hope Chase does an auto CLI for me! I owe about 1400 on in, but looking to pay it off in July.

Got auto-cli's on both my chase cards this month, one about 15 months old (freedom) the other at 6 months old (slate). I think its related to changes in my credit report, no HP for almost 6 months. Freedom has been used hard, 3k limit but pushed over 4k a month in 3 of the last 6 months upto 66% UTL currently 30% UTL. Slate was about 66% UTL paying it down $100-$200 a month with no new charges. Both cards got a $300 auto-CLI.

But it does appear to be auto-CLI season for Chase from posts I have read.

I got an auto increase from my freedom on my 4th statement... From $500 to $1000... It's pretty much my everyday card.... Last week, my 7th statement cut, I requested an increase from $1k to $5k and was approved after 7 calls!!! They wanted me to unfreeze my EX report..but i didn't, I have at least 8 inq the past 3-4 months.. I kept trying until a nice guy approved it without a hard pull..... I don't know how but he did it... Am now tryin to get an increase on my slate (barely 3 months old) but they're saying the same, to unfreeze m EX...I'm hoping I'd get the same luck with my freedom.....
