BOA Better balance Card - How to make best use of this card

I have two BOA 123 card. One is secured version with $500 limit and other i got recently a unsecured version with $2000. I initially thought about closing my secured card to avoid AF of $39. Now i have decided to PC that into Better balance card. I read the TC for getting $120 per year( I have BOA checking and savings). You have to pay more than minimum payment every month. Can anyone please tell me how to make best use of this card, like how minimum you have to spend in this card to take advantage of that feature. Can i swipe like $1.00 every month and PIF after the statement gets posted, and get $30 a quater?

It is not clear exactly what is needed for spending, > 15 has been a common mention as has 25.01. I think the safest thing to do is go for the 25.01 every month. And to be very safe 50.01 the month you get the credit. Just my 2c. I think I may have to apply for this card next month bc I have no mastercards and 100 a year is pretty sweet

Thanks for the reply. I read your blog. So it means even a $0.01 (1 cent) balance every month will qualify for $30 rewards every quarter right? That sounds really promising and a must have card for almost free money. Anyone who used this card, can please confirm it.

Yes, except that Bank of America would cancel bills that are smaller than 1 dollar, which would leave a 0 balance and make your account ineligible for the reward. So the minimum is effectively a buck.

Thanks Hiline for that clarification. Still almost free money. Just buy chewing gum from store everymonth using BBR. Think that will be sufficient. Do you have this card? Do you do this trend for getting $30 a quarter?

Charge something with more than $25 each months to the car and let them auto withdrawn eachonth and auto paid.
Then u all set.
