Awesome Chase

I emailed Chase EO for a cli increase last week on my new Chase Amazon card. Got a call during the week, I mentioned my existing relationship with the bank and told I wanted cli from 500 to 1500.
Agent was very polite and requested if I authorize HP.
I told him I was approved in April so nothing much has changed in my report and only pull the report if they think I am not paying my bills. I mentioned I have 5 figure balance in Chase saving and checking account. I did allow HP in case they want to check anything other than short credit history.
Yesterday my limit went upto 1500. I have not received any alert for an enquiry till now.
Guess salary credit in Chase checking account also helped.

If it is not a HP then I am totally blown away by service Chase offers to its customers.

Thanks everybody. Hoping for no mysterious HP to appear. Got my bronze this week. After being denied by Chase last month I have come long way.
1500 from chase, 2000 from citi and 1000 from CapOne. I knew a lot about fico score before I came to US due to my friend who works for Fair Issac.
But myfico enlightened me on recon and provided information on how to recon.

Generally Chase Luv has been tough luv for customers requiring HP in most cases. Like people say got ask for SP cli only if they reject then only decide whether you want cli via HP.

Nice - Congrats! ...but I think they should not have given you this low limit in first place. In my opinion every lender should look at their own banking customers and not treat them worse than any "external" customer which does not have any prior relationship with them.

At the time card was issued I was happy with a small limit to get my foot inside the unsecured card world. US should allow credit cards issued against CD's like many banks in other parts of the world.

Welcome to the MyFICO forum...

What you are referring to is a secured card. Most of the larger issuers such as Wells Fargo and Bank of America offer this option. Also, credit unions usually offer this option. For a nice secured card, check out Digital Credit Union. You may have to donate $10 to an organization to be able to join but its worth it.

Secured card are slightly different from secured by CD in that latter has regular rewards and you get interest on CD. I do have a PNC secured credit card which has no rewards, $36 annual fee and no interest on deposit.
