Be careful w/ Kay. We're still fighting them. DH had an account opened in 1992, paid off in 1995 no activity since 1998. We called to have it closed & removed from credit report in 2006 b/c it was showing as a Key Delinquency although no reason was given.... The lady, Denise at extension 2865 (I keep copious notes ) said the acc't was closed at our request, she would send letter confirming. Well pulling our reports this year, acc't is STILL listed, and now states "acc't closed at credit grantor's request" which is totally not true. His second account, opened in 1997 and paid off by 2002 with a few 30 lates along the way now says it's not due to fall off til 2011. Which would mean we had done SOMETHING with the account as recently as 2004. Again, totally not true. They are easy to get, but a pain in the rump to get RID of.
