Discussion: time of statement?

Hi I am just wondering when in each month does the banks report to credit bereau?

I was approved for citi forward on Feb 12 and first statement come out on Feb 19 even before I receive the card! I received the card several days after the first statement. I was also approved for AMEX BCP on May 4 and the first statement come out on May 17.

Does this mean my statement will always come out in the middle of a month no matter when I get approved for the card?

I'm not sure what decides the statement cut. My Amex cuts between the 7th and 9th (Changing monthly) but the rest of them always cut on the same day - between the 20th and 24th. I think it's just randomly decided.
