Captial One Promotion

For all those who missed it yesterday...Capital One is having a promotion. Call 877-513-9959 and tell them that "you want to make Capital One the #1 card in your wallet". They will give you a CLI if there is one available. It worked for many yesterday, some getting as much as 4k CLI.

Woo Hoo!! Doubled my measly $300 to $600. Not a lot, but it's better than nothing (balance is $0, anyway). My other account wasn't eligible, but I just opened it so I wasn't really expecting an increase on it.

That number work just fine for me I have 2 crappy one card both with no balance I just wanted to see if it work or not and it worked. I got $300 on one and $500 on the other that brings both card up to $2000 limits. I use to use them for gas but now have reward card for that now.If you have the cars it want hurt to try for the cli

I just got off the phone with Cap1. No cli's available on either of the 2 cards I have with them, because I'm at the max cl available on those 2 tiers of cards. Which is what I was told in December when I visited with them.

But on the Visa Platinum, I was able to get an APR decrease(permanently) from the existing 24.99% down to 12.99%(variable). So all is not lost.

It appears that when you reach your maximum cl available on your particular tier of card, the only way to get higer cl is to apply for a new card.

The CSR DID highly recommend I go to their "Card Lab", and apply there. Uggghhhh...that's all I need....apply for ANOTHER card. lol. I don't think so..at least not for the forseeable future.

But worth a shot, and the phone call wasn't wasted. I talked into their call center in northern Colorado.

I got denied the CLI also, but they gave me an APR reduction from 19.99 to 12.99%. I explained that this card is my lowest CL and I have had the card for over 5 years. She said they like it when you use the card and pay it off. So, that's what i will be doing and we will see what happens.

Thats cute Sylvia at least your honest. I said the same thing yesterday and the rep said "yeah cool". It was funny. At least I was given options. I took the easiest one w/o hard or soft pull. Credit activitated in three seconds...LOL

Called, they asked me if I received a letter... I said no only because I didn't want to risk them asking me what the letter said or anything haha. Anyway, no CLI for me she said that I had an excellent history with them (why no CLI? ) Asked if there were any other offers available to me and no She said that I should keep "an eye out" for future offers and if I get a letter to definitely give them a call. poo! haha

I called and no CLI but they did lower my APR. The rep said it applies to my current balance and future purchases. That's fine with me. Thanks for the tip.
