My Equifax and Transunion scores just took a giant leap upwards after my last baddie fell off. I guess I'm

thinking I should apply for a new card as sort of a reward for the much better score that I now have.

I checked to see if I qualified for PenFed and NFCU and I don't so, now I am thinking about US Bank.

Considering that I am probably black-balled with AMEX, what advice can you folks gice me for a nice new card?

I currently have: 2 cards with USAA, 1 each with EECU, Amazon, Sam's, Discover IT and Capital One.

Thanks for the response. I would probably want a low APR and cash back. I don't carry a balance so I guess a card that might give an opening Credit Line that's significant.

Normally, cards that have perks such as cashback tend to have a higher APR than a no rewards card. Since you have the Discover IT already, why not go for the Chase Freedom to broaden your quarterly cashback categories? Do you have any 5k+ credit lines? That typically increases your chances of getting approved for a higher CL.

I also had 3 dropoff EXPERIAN, so im hoping those raise my credit profile and scores.

As for the OP, why not just hold off on applying for the time being and let your cards grow for 6 more months and hibernate with your credit card calories

That's not a bad idea to hibernate for awhile and on second thought I might just do that. In 5 mos I will have zero hard inquiries on all 3 CRAs and AAOA will be better. Shoot, I might even hit 750 or better by then. It is sure nice to have a clean file. Not gloating, just excited to be sort of in the drivers seat again.
