Asked for a CLI on a Citi card I have, and was given a $25,800 CL. Every CLI I've requested on this card has always been a soft pull, but not this time. Hard pull on EX. Bummer...

I asked for a 10K increase from 15.7K and they approved me for a 25.8K CL. No counter offers.

It's just an additional 100 though. Maybe they were trying to round it up or something. Do you have other citi cards? Or maybe the CSR typed the wrong number lol

Who knows? I may have been bumped from 15.7K to 15.8K through a "natural" CLI that I wasn't looking for. I hardly use this card, and I'm not on top of anything with it as a general rule. I asked for a 10K CL and it seems as though they gave me an extra hundered buck for some reason. I have no other Citi cards, and I hardly use the one that I have, but the CLI was fun!

No. Which is what surprised me. The only screen I saw was that they were going to pull my credit report, which I wasnt used to seeing. I pulled the trigger anyway. Maybe it's because I asked for a 10K increase? Who knows. A 10K increase isn't worth the hard pull.

You had to click the Submit button on that screen to move forward with the request correct? That's actually what I wasking about. When you get that screen and hit button, you authorized them to pull a hard inquiry. If you don't see it at all, it will be a soft inquiry, AFAIK

Why? Are planning on apping in the near future? With your scores I think a HP would be really inconsequential...
