Cash Back Program.

Cash Back. The Business Debit Card provides 1% cash back on the net amount of your eligible monthly purchases. Net amount means all eligible purchases minus reversals for any reason including returns and refunds. It may take up to 48 hours after enrollment for you to begin accruing cash back.
Eligibility. To be eligible for the cash back program:
1. You must have a PayPal Premier or PayPal Business Account.
2. Your Business Debit Card purchase must be an online or signature-based purchase that does not require a PIN (personal identification number). Some merchant locations offer you the option of choosing "Credit" or "ATM/Debit" when making a payment. To qualify for cash back, you must choose the "Credit" option.
3. Your Business Debit Card must be in good standing at the time you make an eligible purchase and when PayPal makes the cash back payment.
Payout. The cash back will be calculated at the end of each calendar month and added to your PayPal Account Balance.
The cash back program is not available for the Consumer Debit Card or the Student Debit Card.

If you have a paypal premier account you can get 1% cashback on purchases. I think the would be helpful if one needed to micro-manage utilization and still wanted to get rewards. I understand that there are other internet banks etc that offer this but this would let one use their own bank from what I am reading.

I sell on ebay and got the paypal debit card. If you link your bank account to paypal, and let the debit card get funds from there, you get 1% cash back every time you use it. I do not have this, I use it when I sell something to get the money ASAP, buying groceries or whatever, but yes you can earn 1% cash back with them on regular cash, is sort of a pay as you go cc with 1% cash back and no fees, other than ATM fees. IT's ok. Funny part is that with the paypal debit card I can spend the money right after the buyer pays, while he got to wait 2-4 days to get the staff. IT automatically deposit the 1% after the end of the billing cycle into your paypal account.

Yeah I have one of those. I don't sell much on eBay but when I do it's "free money" to me and I sometimes use the card for purchases and get the 1% cash back. I only use the card for purchases that are less than or equal to the amount in my PayPal account from the sale. I never let PayPal fund the purchase by pulling from my linked business account.

My eBay sales amount to a few thousand dollars a year from a hobby. I resent all the fees I end up paying between eBay and PayPal so I do it as little as I can.
