Chase Freedom credit line increase recon SUCCESS!

Yes!!!

I've had my Chase for almost six months at a $500 limit and I was getting a bit tired of it, considering AMEX gave me a Blue Cash Everyday for $2000 about a month ago. I called up one of the backdoor numbers and the woman wasn't interested. She immediately sent me over to customer service, who tried to get me approved for $1000 and it failed. I was annoyed and called one of the other backdoor numbers and talked to a really nice guy. I explained that I'd had a fantastic payment history, always paid in full every month, had no dings on my credit record, and threw in my new AMEX card for good measure. He said he'd double check and came back to tell me I was approved! It isn't much but now all my cards in four digits except Capital One.

If Discover hadn't just raised my limit a few months ago I'd give them a call, too. Regardless, I'm very happy right now! Oh, and I don't know if it helps but my credit is at 691 TransUnion, I think.

You're making me want to call back to WF and Discover and attempt again to get my CLI's. I called them both in the last month asking for a CLI and both turned me down. (My accounts with them, and overall credit history, is flawless). Maybe I just was on the phone with the wrong representative...

You might be. I got lucky and talked to two very nice men when I called. It sucks because they notate your account when you try to keep you from attempting multiple times. Oh well, I only asked for a moderate increase.

Is that just for Chase or for WF/Discover too?
