Hi, folks!

So - does anyone know what Chase's underwriting requirements for the CSP are? I've read a few different takes on it... Looks like they'll take a chance sometimes, otherwise they snap back with a "this is a PREMIERE card" attitude...

Ahh!! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!

No one ever said this darned this actually shocked... that hurt!

But - just all my friendly jailkeepers know... I'm gardening FOR the CSP in December or January. I just want to see if I've got a shot when I get to that point.

Is there any way to stop the beeping?!

Likes to see other $5000 limits

Loves accounts with them that are at least a year old ...also checking etc etc

Correct have been known rarely tho to give some people their first $5000 limit

It is the top Chase card for personal CC so that part is true but I have seen them give it with less than $5000....someone got $3000

Hmm. I don't have any chase accounts (there aren't enough in any areas I travel/work in so it doesn't make sense)... Do you think treating my Freedom with a 10K limit right for 6 months around December will be enough or should I hold tight?

I heard an alert and see my colleagues have already arrived

@ Journey: The comical part is I must be the exception to the CSP rule

My highest limit when I got the CSP was $2,500

I only had my Chase Freedom for about 6 Months (although I've had a checking with them for 6+ years)

They gave me my first $5K limit.

Now that I come to think about it. I'm sure their computer system saw that I treated the Freedom quite nicely and figured it would be smart to hand me a CSP

I'm sure they would love to see someone have a full relationship with them, but it can't be a requirement because they aren't everywhere like BoA. I know I can't open a Chase account because I live in MO. So it could help, but it can't be that big of a factor. I think you could be okay. I'd leave the Freedom alone for now. Although I know from reading this forum that they will let you move tradelines around, so if you do decide to CLI your Freedom, you could move some of that limit to a CSP if necessary.
