What is the Chase Slate card all about?... is it a higher end card in the Chase line up aka platinum

You could call it a Platinum because after the 0%APR intro it basically doesnt offer you anything else, Although you can PC or transfer certain amount of your CL to a new Chase CC that you apply for,

If you line CSP, Freedom, Slate...i believe Slate comes 3rd in the line in the scale of being premium. I saw lots of people saying getting approved for Slate easier than the other 2. BUT in my opinion there is no point of having a Slate card as it does not have any rewards..

As the others have said, Slate is primarily a "single purpose" card, and that's for balance transfers. It's useful for that purpose, and you can do it multiple times. There's no rewards benefits, as compared to other cards in the Chase stable, or others in general. And what you CAN do with Slate, if you've done BT and paid them off, carrying a zero balance, simply combine the CL on that card with one of the other Chase cards. IIRC, you have to keep something of a CL on the Slate card if you keep it open, like $1K, and transfer the rest of the CL to another card.

Like others said, it's a BT card.

But since it's a BT card, it probably means you'll be keeping a balance on there too. A high APR rate hurts, and that's why (if you're elligible) it also has the lowest rate availble on it.

Sapphire and its Preffered version both have a variable 15.24% APR, Freedom is a variable 13.99-22.99%, and Slate has a variable 11.99%, 16.99, and 21.99 rate. Obviously if someone was moving a lot of debt onto this card, they'd want the lowest rate too... just hope they have good credit too! (and are really nice to CS if need be)
